Deanne Bertsch – Director
BFA, B.Ed
Drama and Dance Instructor, Strathmore High School, Golden Hills School Division
Deanne has directed and choreographed numerous collectives and productions for Rosebud Theatre, Rosebud School of the Arts(RSA), Kaleidoscope Theatre, Burnt Thicket Theatre, Golden Hour Theatre and Strathmore High School. Deanne loves to work on devised shows and has collaboratively created pieces such as “A Day in the Life” which was a show created after spending a day with the homeless people in Calgary and now “New Blood” which is about Chief Vincent Yellow Old Woman from Siksika Nation.
Deanne is also a choreographer with Rosebud Theatre and a director with Rosebud School of the Arts. She recently directed Quilters for RSA and choreographed the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe for Rosebud Theatre.
Eulalia Running Rabbit – Co-Director
Eulalia is a Blackfoot elder, Knowledge Carrier, Blackfoot teacher and a public speaker at many Blackfoot events. Eulalia is the Blackfoot language teacher at Strathmore High School and the native liaison officer. She is an elder in the Siksika community and is a mother and a grandmother.
Eddie Wolf Child - Blackfoot Dancer
Eddie is a professional dancer and has danced since the age of six years old. He is very involved in Blackfoot societies and ceremonies. Eddie has danced for the Queen and the Calgary Stampede Grandstand shows. Eddie has just finished his education degree from U of L and is now teaching at Old Sun College.
Chris Eagle Rib – Drummer, Singer, Flutist
Chris has been a drummer since he was a boy. He owns a catering business and is a father to six.
Skip Wolf Leg – Drummer, Singer
Skip has worked at Heritage Park for several years as an interpreter in the Indian Village. He has been drumming and singing since he was a boy.
Hayden Yellow Old Woman - Lead Actor/Dance
Hayden is playing the part of his grandfather. He has acted in several shows and is very proud to be sharing his family’s story.
Sho Blunderfield - Vocals
Sho is a musician, singer/songwriter with several bands including Color In The Clouds. He has recorded several albums and toured Western Canada many times. He is also a musical theatre performer and has played Tarzan in Tarzan the Musical and Jack in Into The Woods.
